Tees and Tanks

Samantha Pleet “Illuminated” print bodysuit, M – This print goes with everything! Comfy stretch cotton that has held up on machine wash cold line dry. The mock neck and 3/4 sleeves (vs turtleneck and full sleeves) are petite friendly. Def a splurge item.

Abercrombie & Fitch linen-blend wide-strap cami and pull-on shorts in medium, mini fruit print – cute matching set for a romper look, without needing to completely disrobe to pee. Both pieces have a viscose lining, and this has enough support that I find I don’t need to wear a bra with it. The straps are adjustable but I wear them on the shortest setting and still wish it was about half an inch shorter, so YMMV if you have a particularly short torso. I love the fruit print for something a bit different from florals that still gives that same vibe.

Aerie Offline OG Tank, M – The comfiest crop top ever, I sized down so it fits more like a longline bralette. I still wear another bralette under it when going out though, because it shows sweat easily. Would would get this in more colors if they come out with more earth tones.

Hannah-Michelle Bayley spaghetti frog t-shirt, S – A tubby chef frog illustrated with “I’m staying home and eating spaghetti for the foreseeable future” in a chunky 70s font.

Out of Print “Frog and Toad are Friends” unisex ringer t-shirt, M – I have honestly never purchased anything from a targeted ad so quickly as this. A softer tee style than I normally go for, but I like the ringer tee contrast edges. The print is good and not pixelated, but I wish they offered this in a more sturdy fabric.

Target Women’s Cactus Short Sleeve Graphic T-shirt, XL Dark Mustard – The colors on this one are gorgeous, but if yellow’s not your thing, there are a lot of other colorways offered. Runs small, size up at least one size if you don’t want it fitted. This is more of the thinner drapey t-shirt fabric. Quality is alright for the price, but I don’t expect this to last like 10 years.

Topshop Butterfly Crop Graphic Tee (via Nordstrom), US10 – these are actually moths, but that’s the product name. This is very cropped. If I raise my arms it basically becomes bra length. But great for super high rise bottoms.

Pullover Sweaters and Sweatshirts

Old Navy “Vintage Crew Neck Sweatshirt For Women”, petite L – this is a thin cotton-poly blend raglan sleeve sweatshirt. L is slightly loose fit on me but it’s not so much fabric that it looks awkward tucked in. I have washed on cold once and air dried and it came out fine. As it’s thin and I’m suspicious of the print material, I wouldn’t put this in the dryer. It’s available in regular, tall, petite, and plus sizing.

Patagonia Synchilla Snap T fleece, M – I got mine on eBay, which I’d generally recommend for anything Patagonia as there are usually lots of options for less than list price, and this stuff holds up super well.

Morris & Co x H&M collab men’s sweatshirt size M, via Poshmark – a deep green monogram sweatshirt from my personal favorite collab. The cut is a little sharper at the shoulders than I’d usually like for sweatshirts since it’s a men’s cut, but the design was just too perfect to pass up! I usually wear this one in athleisure looks.

Vintage Jerzees Turkey sweatshirt, size L via Poshmark – I’m actually not that big on Thanksgiving (I prefer to have a friendsgiving style get-together to eat pie for the autumn equinox), but I am a fan of the silly local feral turkeys! I love the colors on this one and the cartoony but detailed art.

Cardigans and Button Downs

Target Universal Thread Button-front Cable-stitch Cardigan, L – 60% cotton 40% acrylic blend cardigan with raglan sleeves. I find this to be a good blend of soft and breathable for the mild weather here. It’s not my favorite cardigan, but I like having one cardigan in a fairly neutral color/cut that I’m not super attached to for days when I don’t feel like babying knitwear. It’s compatible with puff sleeves from the raglan sleeves and oversized fit.

Free People Moon River Cardigan (google shopping search)– cream and orange, S. The sleeves on these are not petite friendly, but the cropped length is. It has a neat inside-out cable-knit design. I’ve found the buttons on these are sewn-in poorly but the actual fabric uses a variegated yarn for more depth of texture and is super comfortable on.

Urban Outfitters “Parker” Cardigan, S – a lightweight chunky knit sweater with front patch pockets. I like this as a not too warm and not too clingy layer. Very boxy, the sleeve starts around the elbow. I don’t think UO makes this anymore, but can find these on Poshmark, Mercari, etc.

Zara Jewel-button Cardigan, S – I got this from Poshmark. A cropped sort of mutton-sleeve cable knit cardigan in a fluffy synthetic yarn. It does seem to get fuzzy easily but the botanical cable-knit design is beautiful.

BDG (Urban Outfitters) cotton cable knit cardigan S – I got this on Poshmark, but if you’re looking for the same style, it’s got an argyle/diamond cable knit pattern on the bodice and the sleeves have a textured sort of stitch.

Handmade patchwork cardigan – I got this on Poshmark, but from some research it seems like this was from a pattern, as I’ve seen other ones but with different buttons, or their own ‘handmade by ___’ tags on resale. Possibly my favorite item in my whole wardrobe.

Madewell Emmy Plaid Flannel (google shopping tab search) – S. The world’s happiest plaid! More of a fashion flannel quality than say, LL Bean grade flannel, but definitely Not Flimsy. Plus, it has pockets. There’s also a scarf in the same print (though different fabric content).

Topshop Cable Knit Longline Cardigan Sweater, US2 – I think this was a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale item a couple of years back, but I got mine from Poshmark. Extremely oversized fit, note that I am wearing a size 2. It’s on the open-knit side of cabling rather than dense and toasty especially on the back, but I would describe it as medium weight.

Sleeping on Snow (Anthropologie) embroidered cropped cardigan, L – A bit delicate but the embroidery and pointelle detailing is so pretty. I got this from Poshmark, not sure what the original product name is.

Shirts and Blouses

Vila Petite Long Sleeve Collar Detail Blouse – EU40. The sleeve length on this one is petite-friendly and I like how the collar has a slight V for negative space so it doesn’t feel like it’s eating me. A nice breathable cotton nylon blend, a bit short to stay tuck into pants unless they’re super high waisted. To learn more about what terms to search for when looking for statement collar tops, see my post Inspiration + Style Notes: Statement collars.

Abercrombie Slim V-neck Cardigan in Orange Spice, L – This is a rib-knit cardigan, but since it’s on the thin side I usually prefer to wear it buttoned as a top with a v-neck bralette. It’s 72% Viscose 28% Nylon so very nice feel on. Can’t vouch for longevity on this but it is a pretty lightweight knit to begin with and it has immediately become slightly fuzzy all over on the first day of wear, though no actual pills. Sleeves are a tad long on me but not so much I feel like folding them is necessary. Slightly longer than crop length.

Target Universal Thread Striped Puff Short Sleeve Button-Down Shirt, 10 – A cute 100% cotton girly short sleeve blouse on the sheer side. The 10 fits my shoulders and bust but is a bit too much fabric around the waist for me. I’m fine wearing it in super high waisted bottoms with substantial waistbands but I want to get it taken in slightly at the waist at some point.

Free People Tasha Thermal (google shopping tab search link) – M, I have this in various colors. This is old season Free People, although the nice thing about FP is it shows up a lot in resale. Aside from “tasha” also search “gigot sleeve” / “waffle knit”. The sleeves are honestly a bit long on me, but this waffle knit top is otherwise super easy to wear option for the puff sleeve trend. I most often wear these with jeans and the derby flats below.

Maeve eyelet ruffle wrap blouse (Anthropologie via Poshmark), 12 Petite – Wrap blouses aren’t generally my thing because they always feel a bit too serious, but the ruffles and blousey sleeves on this one are fun! I also normally don’t love items this sheer because they can just feel cheap, but with the embroidery and ruffles I like how ethereal the effect is here.

Alice + UO “Cloclo” Cape, M – Fabulous double-breasted twill cape jacket from an old Urban Outfitters collab, got mine on Poshmark. I think I could have done a L too.

Uniqlo U Fleece Blouson, S – a cropped teddy fleece bomber jacket with an oversized collar. The fleece is really nice quality on this, and I love how the collar balances out the round silhouette. I got mine on eBay.

Free People Dolman Quilted Jacket – Cherry cola, S. Perfect for that idgaf-I’m-comfortable energy. This is a bulky oversized cut which is perfect for layering. I mostly wear this over athleisure looks that don’t make it to the blog and really enjoy how pink and poofy it is. I tried on two of these and in both the zipper curves inward at the top and kinda pokes your neck, so depending on how sensitive you are there you may only want to wear this with higher necked tops. The finishing on the inside is slightly sloppier than I would hope for the price as they didn’t clean up the extra batting after cutting around the pockets. But overall I’m happy with it and would consider repurchasing whenever it wears out.
